inTouch recognized by PSRA

Congratulations to flourish client partner, Weltman, Weinberg & Reis, Co., L.P.A. as they were awarded a First Place Renaissance Award from the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.

The firm received the award in recognition of its inTouch newsletter, a quarterly publication distributed to all WW&R employees.

According to Alan Weinberg, Managing Partner of WWR, “inTouch is a great way for our employees  to enjoy learning more about the firm and also their fellow employees.  We have an amazing group of really talented...

people with diverse backgrounds.  inTouch has allowed us to share their stories with everyone in the firm.”

flourish is proud to collaborate with WW&R on this communication vehicle that has really broken the traditional legal newsletter mold.

Pete Winzig, Director of Marketing summed it up best: “Typical legal newsletters are traditionally dry and boring.  With inTouch we set out to create something exciting, meaningful and opposite of the standard employee newsletter.  We wanted to showcase our vibrancy, be bold, focus on our people and create a newsletter that was fun to read.  We’ve also streamlined the design and production process, working with our internal team, and design partner flourish Agency, Inc.”

Iron Chefs Shuman and Coy

All eyes were on Steve and Jileen today as they whipped up a culinary frenzy in the flourish kitchen.

Today's secret ingredient: Nestle Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.

The orange apron strings were tied and they quickly began the task of arranging the symmetric squares on the cookie sheets. Steve could be heard saying, "don't worry if they touch, we'll just cut them apart when they come out;" a strategy that seems to be working for him.

Jileen was all business as she quickly dispelled the "metal on metal" myth. Metal spatula met metal cookie sheet without incident.

Steve, a bit flustered by Jileen's spatula savvy rummaged through cupboards in search of an elusive orange trivet, or "TRI-VAY" as they say in Lower Akron. He came up empty handed and settled on an orange oven mitt. Another fine example of his, "when in doubt, improvise" cooking philosophy.

We all watched the oven, thank goodness for the little light inside, as the dough took shape and formed perfect chocolate chip cookies. Exactly 11 and a half minutes later, Jileen and Steve took their respective sheets from the oven and called us all to the table to finalize the flourish kitchen initiation.

So, if you happen to be walking down Huron Road East, and smell cookies, don't think about stopping.

They're already gone.

Planning a V.I.P.*?

Consider The Corner Alley, Cleveland’s newest and hippest, East 4th hot spot.

flourish celebrated the new year in style at the venue’s exclusive area dubbed “Millionaire’s Roll.” Once we finally convinced Jamie that the bowling shoes looked just fine with his designer socks, the evening was under way. We laughed our way through many frames and now understand why those close to Jileen have affectionately and for obvious reasons nicknamed her, “Turkey” Coy.

Have fun in the fast lane...we sure did!

Think. Create. Live. Celebrate!

One of flourish’s fearless leaders turns 40! Please don’t hesitate to place comments below for Christopher's birthday wishes, age-related jabs, words of wisdom, cards, letters, money, kazoos...or whatever you are inspired to impart. At flourish, we’d like to borrow the sentiments of Mr. Spock and send them Christopher’s way: Live long & prosper!

(Footnote: flourish’s other fearless leader, Mr. Frey, would like to set the record straight that he remains perpetually 29 years old.)

Future tree hugger?

"You talkin to me?"

Brandtson : The "T" Goes Before the "S"

MARK YOUR CALENDARS!

Looking for something to do on Friday, February 9th?

Head to The Grog Shop and check out Cleveland’s very own, Brandtson.

Their fifth, and most recent release, Hello, Control is one of our favorite albums of 2006 and is available on iTunes.
Standout tracks include: “Earthquakes and Sharks”, “Friend or Faux,” and “Tapping the Vain.”
The bottom line on this band is that they write darn good songs and bring a lot of energy to the stage.

So, if you’re into lush guitars, double vocals and smart lyrics that incorporate words such as Chupacabras then we will see you on the dance floor on February 9th.
